Ugh

So growing older has been interesting. The last 2 weeks I have spent Thursday nights playing volleyball with ladies from my church. How is it that I can play for a little over an hour and be SO sore for the next couple of days. I mean....seriously? I am not that old by any means, but yet I do something that doesn't feel like a LOT of exercise at the time & walk away with hurting arms & legs.

I will have to say the I REALLY enjoy playing volleyball with the girls though. It is so nice to get out and do something active (that is not just walking/jogging).

Over the last week I have been thinging a lot about my life & things I want to accomplish. Time is passing so quickly & I always feel like there is never quite enough time during the day to complete the things I want to do. So..... I have started my (ongoing) bucket list. Hopefully I can work up to completing it all in this lifetime.

We got the house decorated with our Halloween decorations last weekend. Brayden is so excited for Halloween but doesn't understand why we cant decorate the house like a haunted house. LOL He is so silly. I keep telling him that we will try & add new decorations & work up to it every year, he just has to be patient.

I can't believe it is the 1st of October & it has been HOT around here. The news says that this is probably the last weekend of warm weather. I am super excited to fall & sweaters & hot chocolate but I am sad to see summer go. I will be waiting for the first camping trip of next summer & the smell of the campfire. Until then......I am going to make the most of this winter. I am gonna have to talk my husband into finally teaching me how to snowboard. I plan on spending lots of time building snowmen & sledding with our kids. Taking a few fall hikes & looking at the colorful leaves.

This weekend is sure gonna be busy around our house. Tonight I think we might actually get to relax and hang out as a family. Saturday we have to wake up and get our family pictures taken (which I am completely EXCITED about doing). Then I have tickets to attend the LDS General Conference at the Conference Center here in Salt Lake City. I went to the LDS Relief Society General Conference & it was such an amazing experience. President Thomas S. Monson spoke and it was such an uplifting & motivating talk. In all honesty he could have spoke for hours & would have held my attention the whole time. He is a VERY captivating speaker & I am so proud he is the Prophet of our church.

Saturday night we get to spend the evening with some good friends of our BBQ. It is hard that with the business of life we dont get to see everyone of our friends like we wish we could, so we have to make do with little moments here & there. I am sure I will post pictures later in another post about our time with them.

Sunday night I am excited we get to enjoy dinner with one of Chris' cousin * his wife, who live out of State. It is amazing that in the 8.5 years we have been together I have never met this cousin Todd. Chris talks so highly of his cousin so it will be nice to finally meet him & enjoy dinner together.

Hope you all have a wonderful & uplifting weekend.
