Brayden's State Championships

The Utah State BMX Championships happened 2 weeks ago. Brayden had been racing for 9 weeks before the State Championship. He has been doing so amazing in his races. His very 1st race he crashed so he didn't place but every race since then he has been take a spot in the top 3. 1 - 3rd place, 6 - 2nd place & 1 - 1st place.

There has really only been about 1 boy who is just as good as Brayden (who is the only one who can really beat him) and he has been racing for 2.5 years, and he is almost 9 months older than Brayden is.

Brayden has taken to this spot like it is in his blood, and after the State Championships, I think it really is. Brayden took FIRST place. That's right......FIRST PLACE in the State Championship Finals. His darn trophy is bigger than he is. He is such a natural on a bike, and is totally in love with riding.

Brayden keeps begging to ride motorcycles....but he has been told he needs to race BMX for 2 years before we will move him to motorcycles. I think we have a pro racer on our hands.

He is such an amazing boy. He is the kind of boy who, when he sets his mind to something, will push himself until he reaches his goal. He is so determined & you can see it when he rides. I thank him for being an example to everyone that no matter what the challenge, even if we are just learning, we can do whatever we put our minds & hearts to.
